“The most important thing I've accomplished, other than building the compiler, is training young people” — Grace Murray Hopper
Channeling the resourceful intelligence of Grace Murray Hopper, the Grace Collection is named after a woman who served as a rear admiral in the US Navy and changed the face of coding forever. Forging a name for herself in a male-dominated field, Grace was one of the main programmers for the world’s first computer, the Harvard Mark I. Despite widespread doubt at her ideas, the developments she spearheaded throughout her career led to the development of COBOL, a programming language widely used today. The Grace reminds us that embracing our unique perspective and guiding others to do the same inspire the kind of discovery and innovation that will change the world.
